Avery Dennison (NYSE: AVY), a global leader in materials science and digital identification solutions, is set to showcase a wide array of innovative labeling materials and functional tapes solutions for safe, durable and sustainable electric vehicle (EV) batteries at the upcoming The Battery Show Europe in Stuttgart, Germany.
From 18–20 June at booth 8-E26, company experts will demo a range of cutting edge pressure-sensitive adhesives and labels designed to meet all bonding, connecting, protecting and labeling requirements. They will also present a series of RFID technology and data storage solutions, along with insights focused on the future of e-mobility.
As the EV industry continues to grow and expand (electric vehicles are forecast to make up nearly 50% of global new car sales by 2035*). This means creating a more sustainable future is paramount, and labeling and adhesive solutions that enable the safety, performance and longevity of an EV battery are crucial.
Throughout the event, Avery Dennison will display its renowned portfolio of solutions for EV batteries, spotlighting products that meet stringent safety standards, last for the entire life cycle of the battery, and protect against extreme temperatures, impacts, harsh chemicals and more. Additionally, they will cover how Avery Dennison solutions for EV batteries can help you meet your sustainability goals through materials that are thinner, contain less or no solvents, include recycled content from post-consumer waste and are FSC-certified.
Andrew Christie, Business Development Manager Automotive and EVB at Avery Dennison Performance Tapes, comments: “We’re excited to share with visitors to our booth how we can help meet their needs across the entire EV battery system. Whether it be our flame-retardant, pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes for thermal runway materials, our extensive portfolio of electrical insulating pressure-sensitive films to protect EV pack components or our general bonding solutions for EV battery packs, we’re their all-in-one source for EV battery requirements and look forward to connecting together to help drive the EV industry into a more sustainable future.”
Martin Dolezal, Avery Dennison’s Marketing Manager Energy Storage & Automotive at LPM EMENA, adds: “We’re looking forward to showing some of our latest innovations to visitors, including: labels for warning, tracking and tracing with a lifetime durability and identification, protective solutions for prismatic and cylindrical cell wrapping, and our in-cell electrode (jelly roll) fixing materials that bind multilayer electrode constructions and prevent self-discharge.”
He continues: “We’ll also be demonstrating how our digital ID technologies and connected product cloud, atma.io, authenticate product history and provide tracking and inventory solutions that can enable richer consumer encounters and greater transparency. By bridging the physical with the digital to track and trace, we can help you increase your supply chain transparency and decrease your CO2 footprint.”
