Avery Dennison unveils new high-tech label production coater  at its Champ-sur-Drac facility

 

Avery Dennison will celebrate 50 years of label production at its Champ-sur-Drac facility in France with the inauguration of a new label production coater. The investment in cutting-edge technology fuels our commitment to sustainability, innovation and operations excellence and is making it possible to further enhance our services and provide customers with high-quality label and packaging materials.

The new coater is the final stage in a larger initiative that optimizes our entire European network by supporting the production of core and specialty label solutions. This state-of-the-art machine integrates the latest innovations in coating technology, offers greater manufacturing flexibility and efficiency and enables a more sustainable production process.

 

Continuous improvement is part of the company’s DNA,” says Tim Presto, vice president of Supply Chain & Operations EMENA. "The new label coater in the Champ-sur-Drac facility will allow us to better support the sustainable development of label solutions for applications in e-commerce, logistics, food, wine and spirits.”

 

The Avery Dennison optimization initiative also includes the construction of five new logistics buildings totaling over 8,700 m2, an automated warehouse, additional loading docks, a new heavy goods vehicle parking lot and expanded car parking.
