Avery Dennison at Label Yatra: Elevating Shelf Appeal with Label Solutions
Jan 30, 2024 — The packaging and label industry is in a constant state of evolution, and brands are ever in search of innovative ways to stand out on the crowded shelves of retail spaces. Label Yatra, organized for the first time in India, has proven to be a groundbreaking initiative aiming to serve this very purpose by connecting key ecosystem partners. Let's delve into how Avery Dennison's participation in this initiative launched by Letra Graphix is setting new benchmarks for premiumization and enhancing shelf appeal through cutting-edge label solutions.
Label Yatra's mission is to take unique print solutions to the market and help the brands differentiate themselves and engage with the consumers more effectively. This event acted as a platform for dialogue, and exchange of ideas to drive the premiumization of brands. In a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country, 15 designers from 7 of the most prominent brand/packaging design houses came together to table their challenges with Packaging design development. While the concerns and challenges were well noted, they also had the opportunity to experience first hand the possibilities with Hybrid Print Technology and the value addition that the brands can get through the use of premium substrates.
At Label Yatra, Nirav Shah (Owner, Letra Graphix) and his team showcased numerous samples printed on a variety of substrates to the designers. The designers were also shown Avery Dennison’s exclusive line of 10 new premium textured paper ranges and the label enhancements possible on these substrates.
Avery Dennison's global premium segment leader, Vladimir Tyulpin, participated virtually and explained the journey of the label evolution that brands have experienced in Europe through the use of premium substrates. He shared insights into branding nuances that enhance packaging and consumer appeal - stressing on the significance of textures, finishes, and tactile properties to forge a lasting consumer experience.
The event was moderated by Printweek's Noel D'Cunha, his experience with the printing ecosystem brought the much needed relevance and inspired the participants to actively contribute in the ongoing evolution
In a showcase of the spirit of true collaboration, Avery Dennison, Letra Graphix, Gallus and Printweek l jointly worked towards making this event engaging and effective. We received overwhelming response about the need for organizing such events to elevate the understanding of print technology and substrates in the design community.
The Label Yatra event is just the beginning of what we anticipate as the future of label printing. Brands considering how to differentiate themselves on retail shelves should look towards Avery Dennison’s innovative label substrate solutions and the possibilities with print technologies.
