Avery Dennison offers reclosure labels for disinfectant wipes
Filmic materials offer alcohol-resistance, excellent printability, and consistent performance for packaging and preserving popular sanitizing wipes¹
Singapore, April 13, 2021—Avery Dennison today announced its new line of filmic reclosure solutions for disinfectant wipes with 75% alcohol.
Recently, it is being observed that wipes with 75% alcohol are rapidly gaining popularity. We have specifically engineered a wide range of filmic reclosure materials for use with 75% alcohol wipes, so that end-users get the chemical resistance they need without compromising on printability or performance.”, said Holmes Ong, Speciality Leader for Avery Dennison, ASEAN.
Avery Dennison’s reclosure material range, which is available across Southeast Asia, features Avery Dennison’s own SR133 & SR134 adhesive, which have a high chemical resistance making it well-suited for 75% alcohol wipes and similarly demanding products. SR133 & SR134 enables the reclosures to be peeled and resealed repeatedly, with no discernable adhesion loss, bubbling, or residue.
Avery Dennison’s reclosure solutions also offer excellent printability, along with good die-cutting, which enables converters and brands to manufacture a reclosure in their desired shape—one optimized for their brand and application. The materials also prevent vapor release and leakage from inside the package, helping to ensure that wipes stay moist and effective.
“Avery Dennison’s reclosure materials are a great solution for alcohol wipes packaging based on our internal research and testing,” said Kanokwan Pankhet, Assistant Product Manager at Avery Dennison, ASEAN. “This solution stands up to the high concentration of alcohol. They peel open and reseal consistently, time after time. And they operate quietly, without a “zip” sound, as consumers demand. Avery Dennison designed these materials for 75% alcohol wipes and similar products packaging, and that is evident in their performance and their printability.
Avery Dennison reclosure materials work on packaging for any wet wipe with strong chemical content, and are well suited for wipes used for daily personal hygiene or disinfecting, Holmes noted. Converters and end-users using the new reclosure materials can expect product choices that match their particular application requirements, provide consistently dependable quality, and come with unmatched, ongoing technical support for optimizing converting and application, he added.
